Last year's winners
As a thank-you for taking part in Scotland's biggest clean up campaign, Keep Scotland Beautiful offered participating groups the opportunity to win a range of prizes, kindly donated by Greggs.
The winners were:
Photo competition
- Joint initiative between Haghill Park Primary School & Nursery, and Parkhill Secondary School (Glasgow): We particularly liked the photo of the demonstration outside the school, where children waved placards bearing slogans such as "Say no to litter", "Don't fling it, bin it" and "Litter is smelly".
- Gartsherrie Primary School, whose pupils helped clean up Witchwood Ponds (North Lanarkshire): The contrast was striking between the yucky "before" photo and the tranquil "after" one, where the fisherman is enjoying a much cleaner area.
Feedback from prize draw
- Residents of Elgin (Moray) cleaned up the banks of the river Lossie and submitted a feedback form to tell us about their litter pick. The form was entered into a prize draw and they won £100 of garden centre vouchers.
