Individual Volunteer
National Spring Clean is the work of thousands of volunteers who individually, or with the help of others, decide to take action to clean up their neighbourhood.
If you want to find out about local litter picks that you could join, please see the online Map of Events. It features the details of group organisers who have chosen to have their information displayed and they may welcome your help!
Alternatively, why not get a group of friends, neighbours, colleagues or families together to organise your own clean up? Once you have decided where and when to pick up litter, and have a rough idea of the number of people involved, you can Register online, add details of your event and we will send you a Clean Up Kit to help you get started.
Willing volunteers give rangers a helping hand
A group of community volunteers and holiday-makers were rounded up by National Park Rangers to help clean up Lochgoilhead and Carrick beaches.
The day started with a National Park Ranger talk about marine conservation and then they set to with the clean up, gathering 26 bags of general litter between them. Hard-earned lunch and cakes (courtesy of Greggs) were enjoyed by all as they sat in the sunshine. "All in all, a great day!" they reported.
